Make no mistake, Father God, the pre-incarnate Christ, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit appeared to Abraham in the plains of Mamre.
"And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, an wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye you hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said." (Genesis 18:1-5)
1. Who appeared unto Abraham in the plains of Mamre? (The Answer is in verse 1)
2. Could Moses have not mentioned angels or a combination of beings in Genesis 18:1 or 18:2? He certainly did when he began Genesis 19. So, the answer is an obvious yes.
3. How many individuals are there in Genesis 18? (The answer is 5 and not 1 of them was an angel)
That said, pastor upon pastor upon pastor will still; well, conflate away - creating at best an UNSAVORY SHEPHERD'S PIE out Genesis 18:1 & 2 and Genesis 19:1.
The LORD is interested in the affairs of men and has loved us with an everlasting love. I believe that he wants us to experience: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (1st John 1:3)

Furthermore, I believe the term LORD would more accurately depict the attached graphic as long as the line leading from the Father did lead to God. (See John 20:17)
"Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." (Hence, the attached image probably should be tweaked some)
